The redirective TAU Crash Cushion Family consists of a complete range of reusable crash cushions designed to meet the requirements of EN1317-3 Redirection Class Z1 and Lateral Dispalcement Zone Class D1 providing high performance, high re-usability and speedy repair after impact. The systems are available in lengths and capacities for both low and high speed applications (60, 80, 100 & 110 km/h). The TAU System can shield hazards with widths up to 3.1 m. The TAU System is ideally suited for roadway hazards such as the ends of rigid concrete barriers, steel barrier, bridge piers, signs, etc. The TAU System is suitable for almost all road types and can be installed on longitudinal cross slopes.
Modular construction minimizes costs and decreases installation and repair times and hence exposure of operatives. TAU systems are particularly resistant to side redirective impact damage and have low life cycle costs in comparison with alternative similar products, thus offering high overall performance at competitive prices.
The TAU-B 110km/h crash cushion is also available in three widths protecting hazards from 900mm to 2600mm. All TAU systems can be installed on asphalt or concrete, on bridges and viaducts in a very short time.
